World's Best Chunky Guacamole

  • 3 Large ripe avocados, cubed
  • 3 medium tomatoes, diced
  • ½ large red onion, diced
  • 2 Serrano or jalapeño peppers, finely chopped
  • 1 large clove of garlic, finely chopped, optional
  • Generous handful of cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime
  • Salt to season

In a bowl, combine the avocado, tomatoes, onion, garlic, jalapeño and cilantro. Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from one half. Add a pinch of salt and stir together. Do NOT mash.

If eating immediately, add the second half of the lime juice. If not eaten right away, stick the avocado pits back on the surface and squeeze the lime juice over. Cover in plastic and refrigerate.

When ready to serve, remove pits and stir in the lime juice. Taste for seasoning and adjust if necessary.

    1. Thanks! Also, sticking the avocado pits back into the finished guacamole helps prevent discoloration. I guess in some bio-chemical process the flesh of the fruit is being tricked. Works really well.👍😃
